Barbara Bussler has been 'crafting' from a young age on, so says her
mother. Having grown up in Germany she has was lucky to be able to chose
Art as a major at high school. Although she moved on to study Economics,
becoming a management assistant and working in computer support and help
desk services for most of her professional life, she has never stopped
pursuing some kind of art. She has been using a wide array of
techniques and materials over the years, ventured out into pottery and
silk painting but finally found her real passion in creating colorful
mosaics. This has been going on since 2001!
Over the years though, with several moves across the continents, she
still was not able to settle in one artistic area so she regularly ventures
out into trying out new techniques, like making Paper art (decoupage) using napkins and recycled
gift wrapping, making all sorts of fall and
Christmas deco-rations, and spending the evenings with
knitting scarves, felting and sewing. So much for restless hands.
Now see for yourself, get inspired, come visit her at the local farmers' market in San Jose, CA or at one of the Arts and Craft Fairs in the Bay Area.
Native of Munich, Germany, moved to the US West Coast in 1997. Now residing in the South of the San Francisco Bay (Bay Area) with her husband and son.
